E-Safety

Safer Internet
On 5th February 2019 Leechpool Primary School celebrated Safer Internet day. The children took part in many activities within their classes exploring the importance of keeping safe online. E-Safety is highlighted  in all computing lessons and through discussions in PSHE.

Mr Wagjiani , a governor of the school with combating cyber crime experience has previously led a workshop for parents. This was well received and future events will be held.

PLEASE SEE THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE FOR DETAILED PARENTAL ADVICE ON DIFFERENT APPS AND SOCIAL MEDIA.

Here are some quotes from the children discussing E-Safety.

"Don't meet people that you play with online. It's dangerous."

"I pledge to keep safe on the internet by reporting any worries to my parents."

"Safer internet day made me more aware of what the internet does and what I should not do on the internet."

"Don't talk to strangers."

"Don't give your password away."
These posters are displayed in all classrooms and around the school and are referred to regularly in lessons.
